Simon has seen financial services from almost every angle - working for a regulator (ASIC), a fund manager, a big 4 bank and a large law firm. Now at The Fold, he brings his broad experience in financial services and regulatory advice to help our clients create cutting edge technology that’s both innovative and practical.

He’s honed his deep technical expertise while overhauling policies and systems, liaising with the regulator, managing disputes, drafting regulatory documents and negotiating complex contracts. Simon likes to map the complex relationships in the financial regulatory framework in his mind, but when you speak to him you won’t hear any legal gibberish. He’s a straight talker who’s also partial to a good analogy - just ask him what electric fences have to do with giving financial advice.

He endears clients and colleagues with an infectious personality and boundless energy that he brings to every problem he solves. Simon also approaches every new challenge with a growth mindset, using it as an opportunity to learn and keep him on his toes.

Born and bred in Melbourne, Simon now calls the harbour city home. While he’s taken to the Bondi Beach lifestyle like a duck to water, he’s yet to embrace Rugby League or Union. We’ll forgive him for that as long as we get an invite to his family’s holiday home in the Greek Islands.

Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
