Corbin considers himself to be an anti-lawyer. Wading through case law and legislation isn’t his idea of a good time, so he resisted entering private practice. Instead, he started his career in-house in wealth management and investment banking. This gave him the opportunity to learn the ropes and develop his people skills, but the culture didn’t suit his relaxed nature so he searched for something different. Much to his surprise it led him straight to The Fold, where our progressive, supportive environment and close client connections were more his style.

At The Fold, Corbin works across our client base focusing on wealth and funds management, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory and licensing advice. While he’s always making us laugh in the office with a seemingly endless stream of jokes, he really comes to life negotiating a transaction or engaging with a client to learn more about their problems. Corbin gets his greatest satisfaction from working directly with clients and helping them achieve a commercial outcome. He can often be found drawing diagrams for clients as he explains how a solution would work or deep in research looking for that figurative needle in a haystack.

While he doesn’t take himself too seriously, Corbin is very well read and always on top of what’s happening in current affairs and world politics. He also loves statistics and can be counted on to provide you with the most up to date sports scores for anything from Rugby League, Rugby Union, Football and Cricket to American football. To say Corbin’s sport-obsessed would be an understatement, when he can’t get out to see the Sydney Roosters or there’s no game on the television, you can find him playing Fantasy Football with his mates.

I didn’t come this far to only come this far, so we’ve still got further to go.
