What we're looking for

We're seeking people who can demonstrate an ability to learn quickly, exceptional attention to detail, a "can do" attitude and a keenness to contribute to every aspect of growing our firm - not just the billables. You might not have a financial services focus currently but you'll need to be interested in the industry because it's our entire focus.  

This role is open to lawyers with 1-3 years PAE. You will be:

  • Preparing advices and drafting legal documents for our financial services regulatory, corporate/M&A and licensing practices;
  • Conducting legal research, fact gathering and information retrieval; and
  • Working closely with our partners/directors and senior team across Sydney and Brisbane.

The following skills are important to us:

  • Excellent legal research skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to construct and draft a logical argument in support of a position, with an emphasis on plain English;
  • Good organisational skills plus excellent time management, research and computer skills;
  • Commercial acumen; and
  • Strong Microsoft Word skills, particularly in formatting and cross-referencing documents.
