We don’t choose who we work with based on their gender, but we do understand how challenging it can be for a woman to stand out in the financial and technology sectors.
That’s why we’re proud of our Managing Director, Claire Wivell Plater’s nomination for Fintech Leader of the Year in the Women in Finance Awards 2017, and humbled by the calibre of the finalists.
The nomination recognises the pivotal role that Claire has played in the fintech community - as an advisor and thought leader - and specifically in the support she has given to female entrepreneurs. But Claire couldn’t do any of this without you - our clients who trust us to help you realise your dreams and succeed.
This nomination is really for all the women that we’ve had the privilege of working with in the fintech sector.
You know who you are.
The women who are willing to innovate and look beyond the traditional approach defined by the patriarchy. Women who have the courage to stand up for their ideas and the tenacity to make them a reality.
For each of you, we commit to continue to support an inclusive industry where all voices are heard, engage with the regulatory community to encourage innovation and diversity of opinion, and leverage our networks to strengthen the fintech community. Of course we also promise to continue to be flexible - whether that means looking at your legal issues from a new perspective or having a meeting in your kitchen just before the witching hour begins.
The Women in Finance Awards will be announced on 21 September, 2017. In the meanwhile, if you’d like to chat to us about how we can help, contact us or read more about The Fold’s services to the fintech community here.
